The IRS is in a crackdown year. <\/p>\n

Checking and rejecting ERC claims, getting what\u2019s owed from millionaires that weren\u2019t paying their part, and now locking down tax strategies that were being exploited by those with complex partnerships.<\/p>\n

If any of these apply to you, then we should definitely sit down and talk about how to keep you on the right side of things, especially if the IRS is coming after you\u2026<\/p>\n

But even if none of these apply to you, I\u2019d like to emphasize today how important it is to keep your Southeastern FL business on the right side of the IRS in every area.<\/p>\n

If you have a partnership, you could be more likely to be on the receiving end of an audit in the near future. Protect your business and stay nimble.<\/p>\n

To that end, note that second quarter estimated taxes are coming due this week (June 17th in case you didn\u2019t realize). That should feel a bit like a slap in the face \u2014 we\u2019re halfway through the year already.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That means you have another six months<\/i> to achieve the business goals you laid out for your company back in January.<\/p>\n

Whether that seems impossible or totally doable, I have a word for you today. <\/p>\n

And as you reflect on the first half of the year \u2014 the wins AND the losses \u2014 it\u2019s important to remember you can learn from BOTH.<\/span><\/p>\n

In terms of ways my team and I can help … your finances and books are what we do best. But you’re the only one who can lead your business, land new clients and partners, deliver on your promises, keep your business goals on track \u2014 and then repeat that process year after year.<\/span><\/p>\n

But I see my role in your business as more than merely an accountant. I’m here today to be a coach, and share a little “halftime pep talk” so that when we close the books on 2024, there\u2019s a big fat W instead of an L.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, let me ask you this: Are you thinking too small?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As business owners, we often get so caught up in the smaller, daily tasks that we forget to ask ourselves this bigger question: Am I thinking too small?<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s a challenge I want you to consider today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Martin Luther King Jr., despite any controversies, was a man who accomplished incredible things in his 39 years. He once said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” <\/span><\/p>\n

He had a dream, and he pursued it.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, what’s holding you back from taking that next step?<\/span><\/p>\n

I bet you have business goals that could really boost your business. But the worst thing you could do is not try them at all. If your idea fails, so what? At least you’ll know it doesn’t work. That’s a win in itself.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why wait for a New Year’s resolution to put your big dreams into action?<\/strong> Think of this moment as your halftime, where you reassess, adjust, and then go back out to win the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Practically, here are a few steps you can take right now to start acting on your business goals:<\/span><\/p>\n

1) Write down your biggest ideas for your business \u2014 but no more than three. Keep this list where you can see it every day. <\/span>
2) For each idea, jot down two to three steps needed to reach each business goal.<\/span>
3) Set short-term and long-term goals to help you achieve the big idea.<\/span>
4) Involve some of your team members to help you stay accountable.<\/span>
5) Take it one day at a time.<\/span><\/p>\n

You don’t have to wait another day to take the first step. I\u2019m giving you permission today to be a dreamer.<\/span><\/p>\n
